Hi, Electrics are not my strong point, but have read through the various documents relating to electrics, that are available on this site, and they have been a great help. With that in mind, I am after a bit of a sanity check on the below wiring diagram that I am using on my Transit Custom MS-RT:

Also, with regards to cables, would 35mm2 Be sufficient from the Inverter to the Fogstar Really appreciate any help from the electrical experts out there. Thanks
Many thanks for the very informative response Shane. I shall sit down and go through those links this afternoon one I have finished my chores.
Hi Graeme,
Here’s some initial feedback for you:
You need to install two consumer units in this system
Shore power consumer unit between battery charger and mains inlet (Guide here: https://www.thevanconversion.com/post/how-to-install-a-mains-electrical-plug-inlet-hook-up-in-your-van-conversion-shore-power )
Inverter consumer unit between inverter and plug sockets (Guide here: https://www.thevanconversion.com/post/this-is-how-to-install-an-inverter-in-your-van-conversion-2022)
I recommend running your negatives to a negative bus bar and your positives to a positive bus bar. It keeps things organised and you use less cable than running everything directly to the battery.
You should also install an isolator switch between the battery and the bus bar on the positive line.
There’s no fuse between the inverter and the battery apart from the terminal fuse (M8 300A). This might be enough depending on cable length, but if the cable run is longer than ~30 cm, a dedicated fuse or breaker near the inverter input would be safer.
No ground shown. Grounding is essential for AC and DC system. Keep grounds seperate. Here’s the guide: https://www.thevanconversion.com/post/this-is-how-to-ground-van-conversion-electrics-the-right-way
For wire sizing, I recommend you use the calculator here: https://www.thevanconversion.com/wire-sizing-calculator
It might be worth your time to check out The Van Conversion Electrical Masterclass: https://www.thevanconversion.com/electrical-masterclass
I can tell you have a decent understanding of the system components, there’s just a bit more work to be done to make this a safe system!
